Our Clouded Hills is a deeply personal meditation on belonging, heritage and identity. Going back centuries, my ancestors lived their lives among the same landscapes as did I in the North of England. Using a mixture of analogue film and pinhole photography, I seek to capture the endurance of the land and the quiet persistence of time.  The landscape is not just scenery but an active storyteller, holding the traces and the memories of those who came before. As I retrace these familiar contours I seek connection—with the past, with place and with the enduring presence of our clouded hills.
